New report: Financial flows from Norway to developing countries

Statistics Norway and Vista Analyse have prepared the report «Statistics and data describing financial flows from Norway to developing countries» (in norwegian). The report, prepared for Norad, is a preliminary study that reviews the possibility of better statistics on financial flows to developing countries. Statistics in the current account provides the best overview. The preliminary study clarifies which figures can be extracted from existing statistics, as well as figures that can be obtained with some adaptation of the foreign trade statistics. Next, we look at new statistics that require updating the methodology. Remittances is one such topic.
