Private and public partnerships (PPP)

New times require new forms of cooperation between private and public sectors. Vista Analysis works on public-private partnership (PPP), a form of organization characterized by co-financing and public-private partnerships of what traditionally has been public investments in infrastructure and other major public investments, such as real estate.

PPP is sometimes considered as a legal arrangement, but there are extensive issues related to incentives in a PPP contract that fruitfully can be studied with economic tools. Vista Analysis’ speciality is precisely to consider PPP contracts' incentive properties. Through several projects we have built up a catalogue of various contract designs with distinctive incentive properties, which can be used on various projects. Very often it is incentive characteristics that distinguishes a successful PPP project from a failed project.
